Premiere! The Mobile Street Cinema is taking you on its very first tour! With a mobile cinema and drinks cart, we bring films in which people from Hildesheim and the surrounding area talk about their living environment directly to the street.

For this purpose, transeuropa 2024 – making space equips the Bollerwagen Café of the Selbsthilfe wohnungsloser Menschen in Hildesheim (selfhelp of homeless people of Hildesheim) with a projector and loudspeakers. Four films from the video series Wohnverhältnisse by Derek Lun Kacirek and team will be shown, in which various people report on their housing situations based on the same questionnaires. With the expert assistance of vacancy researcher Moritz Mangold, we will walk together to four of the numerous vacant buildings in the city centre and watch the short films directly on the façades. This will be accompanied by free coffee and tea and a follow-up discussion in the platzhalter. People with and without homes, people with and without property ownership, anyone interested in documentary film, anyone interested in housing, anyone interested in hot drinks and anyone interested in vacant properties are expressly welcome.

The route is one kilometre long. Content notes for some of the videos will be handed out before the start of the tour and on-site.
