The platzhalter is located at Almsstraße 16 and is a vacant store in the city centre where the transeuropa 2024 festival team works. This is where we have meetings or work together on our laptops.
But why platzhalter (German for placeholder)?
We want to make space for our work. For example, for readings and parties.
Check our calendar to see when the next event is taking place.
There is a table in front of the platzhalter with flyers and stickers you are welcome to take. You can also come in and take posters for free and contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

The transeuropa 2024 Festival Centre is in the PULS building, situated directly on Angoulêmeplatz in Hildesheim city centre. It is brightly painted on the outside and the large windows on the ground floor invite you to look inside. The entrance is at the corner of the building and leads through a glass door.
Our transeuropa "garden" awaits you in the Festival Centre, where you have many opportunities to talk to other people and have fun together. You can visit the beer garden, play table football or have a drink at the basil bar. There is also a test where you can find out what type of theatregoer you are.
If you want to relax, you can do so in the indoor green area or the garden café. For a little quieter, there is a secluded area with a cosy sofa, a puzzle and headphones.
The Festival Centre also features various games and music recommended by the transeuropa 2024 artists. You can get creative by writing or painting on the large windowpanes around the Festival Centre – creating a collaborative work of art! There will also be a DIY nails and adhesive tattoo station.
All important information about the transeuropa festival can be found at the info point in the Festival Centre. You can also buy transeuropa T-shirts and caps there.
We look forward to seeing you!

The Burgtheater is the venue for Super Superficial and is located on the Kulturcampus. The Kulturcampus belongs to the University of Hildesheim and is located on the Marienburg estate. There are many old and new buildings here, surrounded by nature.
The site is further away from the centre and can be reached by bus lines: 1, 10, 34 and 42. The bus stop is called "Scharfe Ecke".
From the outside, the Burgtheater looks like a rectangular building. It has a simple façade in dark colours.
The building has two entrances, both on the same side: a large double door, which serves as the main entrance, and a smaller automatically opening glass door. These doors lead to the foyer, which has many windows and lets light into the room.
The foyer is the area you enter first. It is a bright room with chairs and tables where you can sit or buy tickets at the box office. To the left of the entrance are the toilets. Unfortunately, the wheelchair-accessible toilet is in a different building. The Access Friends will be happy to show you the way. The entrance to the actual theatre space, the Burgtheater, is on the right-hand side of the foyer.
The interior of the theatre space is box-shaped. Spotlights are hanging from the ceiling and two stands are built around the corner.
The Dieselhalle is located in the heart of Nordstadt and is accessible via the car park between the houses at Rudolf-Diesel-Straße 8-10. At first glance, it may look inconspicuous from the outside, but inside you will find a large, industrial hall with a high roof and plenty of space for SODOM's performances. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are not wheelchair accessible.

You can stock up on drinks at the THeke, and for all coffee lovers, the Rollende Bohne will be on site to spoil you with freshly brewed coffee and other hot drinks.
There are plenty of cosy seating options and the spacious foyer invites you to linger.
The thim - short for "Theater im Malsaal" - is the new venue of the Theatre for Lower Saxony (TfN) and also the venue with the most seats. This is where we show PERSPECTIVES.

The former painting hall has been remodelled in a modern style and has an ascending grandstand with around 150 seats, including up to six seats for wheelchair users in the front row. Access to the hall is barrier-free and can be reached via a lift from the foyer.
