Workshop
2 hours
Location: platzhalter
only for NextUs participants
Thursday, September 12th, 11:00 am
In this workshop, we will take a look at the fundamental issues involved in festival curation that is critical of discrimination. And why should anti-discrimination play a role at all?
Who decides who can take part in a citizens' jury? How do you address as many different people as possible? What skills does each individual person have? What conflicts can arise? What influence do the individual intersectional perspectives have on the decision-making process? How can a group that doesn't even know each other and now suddenly has to agree on such important decisions as a festival selection work well and safely together? Where are the limits of what is possible? What can other jury formats learn from this form of curation?
