Workshop
Group conversations, self-reflection and theoretical inputs, presentation of café révolution
3 hours
Location: upon registration
for people who are negatively affected by racism
Friday, September 13th, 10:00 am registration
This workshop will look at the concept of safe(r) spaces. We will start with the question: What is a safe(r) space? and shed light on why these spaces are created and why they are indispensable. We will also examine why safe(r) spaces are particularly important in black feminist contexts and how they are anchored in anti-racist work. These spaces not only offer protection but also the opportunity for collective healing and networking.
Together we will reflect on the challenges of everyday life, develop strategies for self-healing and discover our strengths. It's about dealing with racism, micro-aggressions and the emotional burdens that these experiences bring with them. But it's also about simply being, recharging our batteries, laughing and sharing.
The aim is to empower each other and build networks that support us in our personal and collective growth. Here we find strength, solidarity and tools to resist racist and patriarchal structures.
